Don't Be An Athletic Snob
I am always amazed at the number of athletes I hear from that have decided it's Division I or nothing for them. It's almost as if they would be embarrassed to play at a smaller school. I always tell them that they are making a huge mistake. Not everyone can play at the top levels of competition and if you are not being recruited by anyone by the time you are a junior in high school, your chances of Division I are very slim.
How To Target Smaller Schools
The best way to target these smaller schools is to be in direct contact with the coaches. You need to market and promote yourself and make sure they know about you and your athletic accomplishments.
