Simple Tip To Writing Your Articles Like A True Expert    1/6/2010 by: Allen Graves

As we all know, trust and credibility comes easily when those reading your articles believe you are a true expert. This post will give you a very simple tip to actually writing like an expert in your field.

I just got back home from going to the mall with my wife. She wanted to exchange a few gifts that we received during the Christmas holidays. Now, for those of you who don't know me...I absolutely dread the thought of shopping. I just hate it. So instead of trudging around following my wife for two hours, I decided to grab a coffee and chill out at the Barnes & Noble bookstore while she did her thing.

Naturally I started looking for internet marketing books. I found a few but I wasn't very impressed by them. Most of them were rehashed information that you can find for free online. So I moved on.

Eventually I ended up turning a corner and I saw the magazine section...

How Do I Rank For The Top Keywords and Phrases?    12/16/2009 by: Allen Graves

Article Marketing RankingsI don't claim to be some big time SEO expert or a Google know-it-all, but I do research SEO every single day and I am smart enough to see trends and tendencies of article and website rankings and their keyword phrases. I also have the tools available to me in order to analyze the sites and pages that are doing well.

For those who don't know, I am not just an article directory owner who studies article stats every day - I am also a successful affiliate marketer. I currently own and maintain 14 affiliate websites that I built from scratch. These sites are profitable and span several different niches from Stop Smoking to Fantasy Football and many points in between. So I also consistently research and study techniques for affiliate websites, not just articles.

That being said, I believe that the most important factor in getting your article or website ranked highly for the big time keyword phrases is simple...

Is Keyword Phrase Monthly Search Volume Important?    12/11/2009 by: Allen Graves

Keyword tools are great for finding phrases to write your article for - especially when you find yourself in one of those times where you simply cannot think of anything new to write about.

For years internet marketers have been using these tools, quietly cruising along the article writing highway with their assistance. If your writing is the vehicle, then the keyword tool is the gas! That's petrol for my friends across the pond. :-)

Many of these tools include a column in thier results which contains a monthly or daily search volume. This means that within the specified time frame (month, day) that the number in the column is "the approximate average monthly number of search queries," for the phrases found in the results. See the example below...

Why Not Write and Get Backlinks For MY OWN Site?   12/1/2009 by: Allen Graves

For those of you who spend time researching and studying internet business over at the Warrior Forum, I'm sure you've seen this before. A killer conversation is going on about article marketing - maybe even a well-behaved debate - when suddenly some pompous smart mouth who is just looking to boost his own ego comes along and does it...

"Why should I give away my content to the article directories? Why not write the content and get the backlinks for my own site instead of boosting the authority of someone else's site?"

First of all, folks, who the hell told you not to write content for and get backlinks to your own site?!! It certainly wasn't me and I'm sure you didn't hear it from anyone else worth mentioning.

I honestly think this is done because of a personal vendetta against article directories or the simple fact that the person who asks this is either completely new to the concept of article marketing, or they are so short-sighted and self-involved that they are just plain ignorant.

Are You Targeting The Right Keywords?   11/11/2009 by: Allen Graves

I've been reviewing articles for over 6 years, and I've had the awesome privelege of seeing which of these articles do well in the search engines and which ones are a total failure.

After watching tens of thousands of articles fail or succeed, one thing has become very clear to me.

"Keyword selection is extremely important when it comes to the article's eventual search engine traffic."

And this is the angle that I am coming from in this blog post - the search engine rankings.

A lot of people (a disturbingly large percentage) will not put much thought into their keyword research. If they are writing for the weight loss niche, they will simply churn out a bunch of articles that target the phrase, "weight loss," or ,"how to lose weight."

Our Take On Article Spinners   10/28/2009 by: Allen Graves

We do not like article spinners and we do not approve of using them on our website.

I'm not saying that some of them cannot produce OK results if you put a lot of time and thought into it.

To be completely honest and open about it, I am beginning to get really ticked off by the whole idea of taking a piece of content and spinning it dozens of times to submit to an article directory.

Here's why...

  • The boy dropped a bucket
  • The young man fumbled a pail
  • The guy spilled the container
  • The masculine lad midhandled the urn
  • The youngster let slip the basin
  • The small male child...

You see the issue yet? Probably not.

Let me explain further.

EzineArticles.com Is Cleaning House   10/22/2009 by: Allen Graves

If you've been hiding under a rock the last few days, then you are unaware of the massive housecleaning that is going on over at EZA. According to Chris Knight, owner and CEO of EzineArticles.com, they are declining and deleting thousands upon thousands of articles which do not meet their ever-increasing standards...even articles that were previously approved and published.

A quick visit to the Warrior Forum or Digital Point will reveal the huge amount of resistance to this long-overdue move by Mr. Knight and the EZA staff. I have been following these threads, along with blog comments at the EZA blog, and it appears that about 1/2 of the people love it and 1/2 of the people can't stand it.

Where does Website-Articles.net stand on the issue? It will become obvious shortly...
