Article Marketing Info:

Adding Links to your Article Resource Box

I cannot tell you how many times I have come across a very well written article with great keywords and excellent potential for great search engine placement...only to find that they did not add a link to their resource box!

For whatever reason, a lot of people think that simply typing a URL into the resource area actually creates a link. It does not. All you are doing is typing text, there is no actual link created. Although you may get a small amount of traffic from an un-linked URL, the search engines do not give credit to your website and you have, in essence, wasted a perfectly good article.

If you are still a bit confused as to what we are explaining here, take a look below

  1. This is a URL that is not linked - http://www.website-articles.net
  2. This is a URL that IS linked - http://www.website-articles.net

See the difference? The second, linked URL above will actually take you to that website if you click on it. This is what you want in your resource box.

The first example above is nothing but text. In order for the article to give your website credit in the search engines, your URL must be linked to your website.

In the tutorial below, we show you how to create a linked URL in your resource area. Then we will show you how to create "link text" that will further help you in your SEO campaign!
