A lot of people lately have been trying to find out which brand of popcorn pops the most. I just love popcorn and I was so elated to get the chance to find out which brand pops the most. Some people say that there is no comparison between your every day store-bought popcorn and the delightfully fresh popcorn popped in a kettle and delicately drizzled with a sinful amount of butter!
So to keep this little experiment fair, we have split the test into two different categories, movie popcorn and store-bought popcorn. Keep reading to discover our eye-"popping" results.
But before we get started, I just want to say that popcorn is the most wonderful daytime snack in all the land. It is simply the best and nothing can even come close to fresh, buttery popcorn. So lets get on with our test!
Movie Theatre Popcorn Brands
We set out on our little study on a brisk Saturday afternoon. Most of us had a little popcorn as a quick, healthy snack and then we set out for the local movie theatres. We set up a little table just outside the exit doors and asked people on their way out, "Which movie theatre has the best brand of popcorn? You know, the popcorm that pops the most!"
We immediately realized that no single movie chain "popped out" above another. We were getting answers all across the board! AMC, Cinemark, Regal Cinemas, Muvico and many more! So the only thing we really figured out in our little movie popcorn branding experiment is that movie theatre popcorn is great in any weather. Fun times! Plus, we became immediate experts in the field of popcorn. It's kind of fun being an authority on which brand of popcorn pops the most.
After that, we decided to head to the local grocery store to ask the everyday consumers which popcorn they think pops the best. I was kind of nervous because I really had to use the restroom. Eating plenty of popcorn sure keeps you regular! But I was able to hold off and continue our test.
Boy did we get a variety of wonderful responses. Big people, little people, weird people and even funny "popcorn-looking" people. But who cares what they looked like? All that matters is that they LOVE POPCORN!
Store Bought Popcorn Brands
We anxiously set up the same little table right next to the exit doors of our corner grocery store. As shoppers "popped" out of the exits, we ran right up to them and excitedly asked them which popcorn they liked the best! Some of them had strange reactions, I don't know why. I'll bet you'd like to know what they all said...

Wasn't that a great little popcorn movie? Couldn't you just taste the excitement?!
As a child I always thought that Orville Reddenbaucher grew the absolute best popcorn in the whole wide world. I couldn't get enough of it. I remember my mom coming home from the store and yelling, "Allen - We've got Reddenbaucher!" Boy, oh boy, just smelling that wonderful popcorn as it popped in the pan...it was a memory that will last a lifetime! I guess as a child you could have called me "little popcorn guy."
Sorry. Back to the story. We ended up with a winner in our quest to find out which brand of popcorn pops the most.
